April is Autism Awareness & Acceptance Month, and we’re excited to celebrate with a variety of events and activities! This month holds special significance in the autism community, with World Autism Awareness Day on April 2 (as recognized by the United Nations) and the the City of Saskatoon officially proclaiming April as Autism Awareness & Acceptance Month.
To promote awareness, understanding, and acceptance of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), we’ve planned engaging activities throughout the month:
- April 2 – Light It Up for Autism!
- April 1-30 – Shining Bright Colouring Contest
- April 1-30 – Stacked Pancake & Breakfast House for a Cause
- April 11 – Museum of Antiquities Workshop
- April 16 – Connecting Communities: Agency Showcase Inclusion & Disability
- April 16 – Online Psycho-Educational Information Session on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- April 18 – The Daisies: Live in Concert for a Cause
- April 25 – Art Painting Session hosted by The Art Ink Room
- April 25 – Yoga Class for Caregivers by Sweat Co. Hot Yoga
- April 30 – Dr. Grant Bruno Online Presentation: Reclaiming Indigenous Understandings of Autism and Neurodivergence.

Pancake, Waffle, French Toast, and Crêpe Stack entrée sold
will be donated to support Autism Services of Saskatoon

Families can take part in our inclusive Museum of Antiquities activities,
including an Inclusive Museum “Quiet Hour” visit with reduced sensory stimulation and a
predictable structure, as well as a “History, Objects & Neurodiversity” workshop that explores
artifacts through clear, low-pressure, inclusive discussion for children, youth, or adults.

Morning: 9 am – 12 pm (25 spots)

Connecting Communities Inclusion & Disability Showcase at Bethlehem High School

Time: 1:30 – 7:30 PM
Hosted by: CLASI, Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools, and Saskatoon Public Schools.
No registration required — just come by.

Join an online Psycho-Educational Information Session on
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to better understand autism.
The online sessions is FREE and open to anyone who wants to learn more about our services.

Join us for Moondance — a live music social & dance show with Daisies.

We invite you to a fun and creative art paint session designed
for moms and their child! There are 56 spots available—so don’t miss out!
Children must be between the ages of 5 to 12 years old.
Must have current Annual Family Membership and agency intake.

Join us for a gentle, all-levels heated yoga class created especially for caregivers supporting autistic individuals.
This is a free, private class for caregivers and that space is limited 44 people (first come, first served). Only the first 44 registrants will be contacted.
Bring your own yoga mat, water bottle, and towel.
