Employment Resources & Supports
Empowered Employment Program
Service Update (Effective March 15)
Effective March 15, Autism Services of Saskatoon will be reducing services within our Empowered Employment Program. The SETI grant that has supported dedicated employment services over the past two years is ending, and we will be exploring future funding streams to continue this work.
Support still available
While we will no longer be able to provide some elements of the program, we still aim to offer employment-related support on a case-by-case basis, depending on capacity. Individuals seeking support are welcome to contact our organization, and we will:
share information on what may be available through other Autism Services departments, and/or
refer to appropriate community programs and resources. Employment resources and support links are also available on our website and will be updated regularly based on availability.
To submit a request or ask about employment supports, please email: Supportreferrals.employment@autismservices.ca
We appreciate everyone who has contributed to the success of this pilot program over the last two years and look forward to offering future employment programming as funding allows.

Additional Resources
Still have questions about working with autism or employing a worker with autism? Not surprising! Autism, more formally known as Autism Spectrum Disorder or ASD presents differently in every case. The following links can be useful for further research to help acquire better base knowledge, but everyone is different. For autistic job seekers, remember that nobody knows you better than you know yourself. For employers, this just means that all you have to do is listen to the individual you’re employing. On both sides, open and honest communication is key!
