The Little Tots Program is a program offered to children who are 48-months and younger upon joining the program. Little Tots offers a supportive, child-centered environment that values neurodiversity and respects each child’s unique way of thinking, communicating, and experiencing the world. Rather than focusing on “normalizing” behavior, the program emphasizes building meaningful skills that enhance a child’s autonomy, well-being, and quality of life.
Overseen by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst, Little Tots Program uses evidence-based practices from Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in a compassionate and developmentally appropriate way. Supports are guided by each child’s interests, strengths, and sensory needs, with a strong focus on play-based learning, relationship-building, and emotional well-being. Goals are individualized and prioritize functional communication, self-advocacy, connection, and daily living skills.
Practitioners collaborate closely with families, valuing their insights and cultural perspectives, and work as part of an interdisciplinary team when appropriate. The environment is structured yet flexible, designed to reduce overwhelm and support regulation through predictable routine, shaping, sensory-regulation, and other individualized supports.
Importantly, Little Tots avoids compliance-based or punitive strategies. Instead, we seek to understand the purpose behind behaviors, recognizing them as meaningful forms of communication. Staff focus on teaching alternative skills, adapting the environment, and fostering intrinsic motivation rather than relying on external control.
Little Tots strives to create a space where each child feels safe, respected, and empowered to grow in ways that are authentic to who they are.
Admissions for a fall start date takes place annually , with applications becoming available in January. Please keep an eye on our website or social media if you are interested in applying for this program.
